ARTURIA ANNOUNCE KEYLAB CONTROLLERS
Posted on Thu 11 April 2013 in Computer Music
We're already big fans of Arturia's current range of MIDI controller keyboards so we're pleased to announce that they have just announced the new KeyLab range, consisting of a KeyLab 25 (25-note controller), KeyLab 49 (49-note controller) and KeyLab 61 (yep, you guessed it - a 61 note controller)! The KeyLabs are Arturia's most feature-packed controller keyboards to date, each featuring a host of assignable controls and shipping with the new Analog Lab software, which features over 5000 tweakable preset sounds taken from their popular range of analogue-modelling software synths (modelling absolute classics such as the Minimoog, Jupiter 8, Prophet, etc.).

Each MiniLab controller features semi-weighted velocity and aftertouch sensitive keys, 11 standard encoders, 2 clickable encoders, 9 sliders, a pitch bend and mod wheel, 6 transport buttons, 15 control buttons, an LCD screen and octave up/down buttons. In addition, the 49 and 61 key versions have 16 touch- and pressure-sensitive pads.
As a versatile live performance tool, the KeyLabs are a fantastic solution because their controls automatically map to tweak Arturia's presets. In this way, the KeyLab essentially functions as a hybrid synthesiser. However, it can also work as a universal MIDI controller for controlling your other instruments, effects and DAW.
