Take It Away Scheme

From today, Friday 21st October, the Take It Away scheme will open itself to individuals under the age of 18 who are purchasing a musical instrument from us. Hurray!

The Take It Away scheme will now be open to:

Individuals aged 18-25 that are buying an instrument for themselves (or for someone else of whatever age).

Individuals purchasing an instrument for a young person under the age of 18. In this case, the individual will need to sign and complete a customer declaration confirming that the recipient of the instrument is under 18 years of age.

However, despite the Take It Away scheme now being available for persons under the age of 18, all applicants will still need to be over 18, a UK resident and working at least 16 hours per week to be eligible. Approval will also be subject to a credit check.

Unfortunately, the Take It Away scheme is not able to subsidise the cost of musical instruments for adults over the age of 25 who are using the Take It Away scheme to purchase a musical instrument for a person of or over the age of 18.

What is the Take It Away Scheme?

The Take It Away Scheme aims to make musical instruments more accessible to children and young people by providing interest-free loans of up to £2,000. For full information, click here to visit the official Take It Away website or call us on 01202 597180.
