NAMM 2012: WALDORF PULSE 2

Waldorf Pulse 2We have something very exciting to tell you! It's the reincarnation of an instrument that many regard as being the ultimate electronic bass synth! Due for release in Summer 2012, the Pulse 2 is the second version of the Waldorf Pulse, a vintage analogue synthesiser that has a rich history in 90's electronic dance music, boasting users such as 808 State, Nine Inch Nails, Sneaker Pimps, Moby and many many more besides!

The Waldorf Pulse 2 retains its completely analogue signal path but supposedly delivers even more power... a statement which got us practically drooling at the thought, because we can't really think of how you can improve on the original!

The Waldorf Pulse 2 is a monophonic synth that makes use of three analogue oscillators and a true analogue cascading filter, just like the original thing! However, the Pulse 2 now offers Highpass and Bandpass filter modes and analogue FM and Ring Modulation, along with paraphonic modes that allow for up to eight voice chords.

Unfortunately there aren't any videos of the new Pulse yet, but you can bet that as soon as we hear anything we will let you know, so keep checking back to our news pages for future updates!
