Yamaha THR5]({static}/uploads/2011/10/yamaha-thr5.png)Yamaha have announced a new series of guitar and bass amplifier, comprising of the THR5 and THR10.Yamaha state that these new amplifiers provide a 'new way of thinking' for practice amps. The new THR amps mean that you don't need huge amounts of volume and a selection of pedals to get a great sound. The THR5 is a dedicated guitar amp and it gives you tube amp tone, excellent effects, high-quality stereo output, an auxiliary input for connecting an MP3 player and USB recording capabilities. In addition to this it is also lightweight and compact and can even be powered by battery, making it an ideal portable practice amp.

The THR10 can be used as both a guitar or a bass amplifier. It features everything that the THR5 does, but also includes a built-in tuner and memory function, allowing you to store your favourite tones.

On top of all this, both amplifiers come with Cubase AI software (for personal recording and song creation) and a piece of software called THR editor, which allows you to perform deep editing of amp and effect parameters using a computer.
