Fender have announced some new additions to their gorgeous 'Select' series of guitars, comprising of the Select Stratocaster HSS in Tobacco Sunburst, Select Thinline Telecaster in Violin Burst ( including a model with gold hardware), Select Telecaster HH in a Natural finish, Select Carved Blackwood Top Telecaster SH in a Natural finish, Select Carved Maple Top Jazzmaster HH in Cayenne Burst and Twilight Burst finishes and a Select Active Jazz Bass in Tobacco Sunburst. Fender Select guitars feature the latest fingerboard tops, choice tone woods, figured and quartersawn maple necks with compound-radius fingerboards, a new 'inlaid' fingerboard design and specially voiced pickups. Prepare to drool over the pictures...

Firstly, the Fender Select Stratocaster HSS, which is now available in a beautiful Tobacco Sunburst finish! TheSelect Stratocaster HSS features a 'channel-bound' rosewood fingerboard, which is a new Fender innovation where the compound-radius rosewood fingerboard is 'inlaid' into the thick modern C-shaped maple neck. TheSelect Stratocaster HSS has a very comfortable-feeling fretting-hand feel, with no side seam between the neck and fingerboard.

The HSS also features Fender Select Stratocaster single-coil and middle pickups, a Twin-Head humbucking bridge pickup, five-way switching, three-ply parchment pickguard, aged white control knobs, 21 medium jumbo frets, Bi-Flex truss rod system, two-point synchronised tremolo bridge with vintage-style bent steel saddles, deluxe staggered locking tuners and a Fender Select headstock medallion.

The Fender Select Thinline Telecaster has a semi-hollow ash body, making it extremely light. It features a gorgeous flame maple top and a hand-stained Violin Burst finish, plus a modern C-shaped birdseye maple neck with a Bi-Flex truss rod system.

The Fender Select Thinline Telecaster includes single-coil neck and bridge pickups with three-way switching and is available with either deluxe staggered locking tuners or deluxe cast/sealed with white pearloid buttons.
