NEW BASS STATION 2 PERFORMANCE VIDEO

Electronic artist 'thesecondwall' recently created this awesome performance video for Novation, using only sounds from their new Bass Station II synth (apart from the kick and snare, which were prepped in Ableton Live 9). Enjoy!

The Novation Bass Station II resurrects the classic Novation Bass Station, which was a popular synth in 90s dance music. However, this updated version adds a number of super-charged features to the original, including a new acid filter, a pattern-based sequencer and arpeggiator and a selection of analogue effects. The Bass Station II even features an analogue sine wave as one of its waveforms.

I've got the original Bass Station and have used the new version, and I've got to admit that the Bass Station II is an absolute beast! It's got a huge, in-your-face analogue sound, but refreshingly, it's also capable of producing those old skool squelchy sounds that endeared me to the Bass Station in the first place.
