LEGENDS STEVIE WONDER, BERNIE WORRELL, LARRY DUNN & DR. LONNIE SMITH PUT THE MOOG SUB PHATTY THROUGH ITS PACES
Posted on Thu 28 March 2013 in General News
Dr. Robert Moog's legendary synthesiser company launched its self proclaimed "grittiest" sounding synthesiser yet at NAMM 2013.
Starting in 1954 with its legendary Moog Theramin and pioneering the synthesiser world in 1964 with its first modular synth, Moog then moved on to create the game changing MiniMoog of 1970; a machine that is proclaimed to have changed the world of music forever!
So, with this legacy it is no surprise that when Moog launch a new synth, the big boys all want to try it out! At NAMM 2013 the Sub Phatty was visited by Stevie Wonder, Bernie Worrell from P-Funk & Talking Heads, Larry Dunn of supergroup Earth, Wind & Fire and jazz legend Dr. Lonnie Smith, who collectively proved just how magical this new analogue subtractive synth can be.
