Fender made waves in 2016 when they revamped their entire range of American electric guitars; the old American Standard became the brand-new American Performer, the American Vintage became the American Original, and so on. Sporting new pickups, new colours, and a new attitude, in one fell swoop Fender gave the world's most beloved range of American-made electric six-strings a fresh face. Fender have now turned their attention to the esteemed Mexican-made range; having replaced the Mexican Standards with the well-received Player series in 2018, the new Vintera series is Fender's budget alternative to the American Original. All of the styling features and vintage mojo which made Fender's instruments legendary in the 1950s, '60s, and '70s, but without the vintage price tag.

The Vintera series offers a broader range of models and specs than any other range in Fender's catalogue. Two distinct spec options are available: the Vintage Models offer all-new vintage-spec pickups and classic 7.25" radius fingerboards, while Modified Models come equipped with hotter pickups and the more shred-friendly 9.5" radius. By dividing the range, Fender have made sure to include something for everyone, whether you want vintage looks with a modern feel or an all-out, old-school nostalgia-fest. Some of the real highlights from the Vintera range are the '60s Jazzmaster with matching-colour headstock, the '60s Bigsby Telecaster, and the '50s Precision Bass in Vintage Blonde over an ash body, all of which combine real elements of Fender's historic past with a modern playability and style. Whatever era, neck profile, colour, body shape, pickup voice, or fingerboard radius you're after, your favourite vintage Fender is now even easier to get a hold of, and get playing.
