The Electro-Harmonix Pitch Fork is designed to pitch shift the instrument signal on +/- 3 octaves, with a choice of up, down or dual modes. The pitch shift rate can be set to a fixed interval or continuous via an expression pedal or a control voltage.

The Pitch Fork features an 11-step knobs with which you’ll choose between major and minor 2nd, major 3rd, perfect 4th and 5th, major 6th, minor 7th, one, two or three octaves, from D (detune).

A three-way switch offers up, down or dual transpose modes. In Dual mode, the pedal outputs two pitch-shifted signals, one following the Up position while the other creates an harmony (M3 Up + P5 Up, P5 Up + 1 octave down, 1 octave Up + 1 octave Down…).

The second available knob on the Pitch Fork controls the dry/wet mix and a Latch button handles the footswitch and expression pedal behavior: in Latch mode, the footswitch enables or bypasses the effect (buffered bypass) and the expression pedal continuously varies the pitch. In Momentary mode, the effect is enable only when you press the footswitch and bypasses it when you release the switch. The expression input in this mode controls the glissando rate for the footswitch when you activate the effect (between 4ms and 2s according to the heel/toe position on the expression pedal, 60ms default when nothing is connected to the expression pedal).
