NOTION 3 is the first product that truly bridges the gap between notation and an audio application. You can compose and hear your notated score play back instantly with real instrument samples, and you can use it to perform live.

It’s easy and quick to learn and reasonably priced, making it great for the aspiring student, but there’s plenty in here to keep fully fledged musos interested too.

NOTION 3 has over 10GB of exceptional sounds played by the London Symphony Orchestra, recorded at Abbey Road Studios. There is also a whole host of impressive guitar, bass, drum and instrument sounds, recorded by top musicians at various professional studios.

Thanks to its combination of great sounds, compositional features and the live performance aspect, NOTION 3 is as useful in the classroom as it is in the studio, and our education team can provide you with multi-site licences for your school or college. Key Stage 3 and 4 students can use NOTION 3 to improved their coursework grades thanks to its impressive playback quality. NOTION software has also been found to be a great teaching aid for students working towards rockschool exams.

It’s for real-time

NOTION 3 is the only notation product with advanced real-time tempo control including vamps, repeats, score navigation and other features allowing it to be used like a musical instrument with accompaniment, rehearsal or professional live performances.

NOTION 3 can also improve your composition with superb articulation and dynamic playback and it incorporates all the features found in NOTION Music’s entry-level songwriting program PROGRESSION (see below).

Truly compatible

Another unique feature of NOTION 3 is SequencerStaff™, which lets you record MIDI input on a standard notation staff while retaining all the MIDI data including modulations, bends and dynamics. Either keep it in SequencerStaff view or convert to notation instantly.

NOTION 3 has expanded compatibility with full ReWire integration that supports both host and slave options. The program is built to be compatible with digital audio workstations and works effortlessly with third-party VSTi libraries and VST effects with full MIDI functionality, and it can save as audio files and import them too.

Thinking Progressively

Progression is a revolutionary songwriting and composition tool for guitar, bass, keyboards, drums and vocals, also from NOTION Music.

It is very easy to use and is packed with great sounds. You can enter your riffs in tab or notation and hear it play back, print it out, email it to your band or burn it to CD instantly. You can write how you want drums to sound, experiment with guitar effects and slap bass as well as tweak the built-in amps to add loads of different tones and effects to your final playback.

Anyone intimidated by traditional musical notation, fear not because Progression’s interactive interface makes reading music a breeze.
