ROLAND SPD-SX SAMPLING PAD

Roland have announced the new SPD-SX percussive sampling pad- an instrument that features sample creation and playback, expressive playability, three multi-effects engines and more!The SPD-SX can be used in combination with an acoustic or electronic drum kit, it can be used as part of a DJ set or within a keyboard rig to add something extra to a performance, or it can be kept in the studio for song and idea creation. It can be used to trigger one-shot samples, looped phrases, or even complete tracks - the Roland SPD-SX is the only instrument of its kind in the world!
The Roland SPD-SX comes with 2GB internal memory, which gives you room to store around 360 minutes of mono samples. It features 9 velocity-sensitive rubber pads and two external dual-trigger inputs and also has Multi-Pad Sampling technology, allowing you to easily create your own samples (from a computer or external audio player) and assign them to specific pads.
On top of this, the Roland SPD-SX features three onboard multi-effects units (filter, delay, short looper, etc.), a backlit LCD screen (making it easily readable even in dark clubs) and LEDs for each pad (to indicate their play status). Plus, it comes with SPD-SX Wave Manager software, which lets you upload audio files to the SPD-SX from your computer via USB, assign the samples to each pad and organise all your samples efficiently.
