NATIVE INSTRUMENTS ANNOUNCE NEW TRAKTOR KONTROL S2 & S4

Native Instruments have just announced that they will be updating their popular Traktor Kontrol S2 and S4 DJ controllers and that these new models will be hitting our stores in time for next month!

The mark 2 versions of the S2 and S4 both feature a new duo-tone design, as well as improved fader reliability and silicone-damped jog wheels with aluminium top plates for an improved feel. As well as being able to control the industry-standard Traktor DJ software on your computer, both are also plug-and-play with iOS devices, so you can hook them up to your iPad or iPhone and control Native Instruments' Traktor App!

The new Traktor Kontrol S2 Mk2 is a two-deck controller, which is extremely tightly integrated with the industry-standard Traktor Pro 2 DJ software (which comes bundled with the controller). On top of this, it also features a built-in professional audio interface (24-bit/96kHz) so you can hook your speakers, mic and headphones directly up to it and get performing straight away!

The Traktor Kontrol S2 Mk2 features all your standard DJ controls (e.g. crossfader, pitch faders, up-faders, EQ, cue and loop controls, etc.), plus a number of handy extras to allow you to achieve more complicated mixes. For example, it features controls for triggering the Remix Decks within the Traktor Pro software (which allow you to layer more loops and samples over your track). The S2 Mk2 also features improved multi-coloured buttons for better visual feedback.

The Traktor Kontrol S4 Mk2 features an extremely similar design to the S2, but allows for hands-on control over all four of Traktor's virtual decks, as well as providing Flux Mode controls and a separate booth output. The S4 also has additional features such as dedicated filter knobs, separate Remix Deck and Cue buttons (these are combined on the S2) and more visual indicators, which negates the need to look at your computer for tasks such as looping.

Of course, as with all new Traktor controllers, the S2 and S4 are both expandable, so if you require more hands-on control over certain aspects of the Traktor software, why not add a Traktor Kontrol X1 Mk2 or F1 alongside your S2 or S4 controller?
