IMPORTANT ORDERING INFORMATION FOR FRIDAY 13TH JULY 2012

Posted on Thu 12 July 2012 in Customer Services

DPD LogoThis Friday (13th July 2012), there are some important changes to our usual courier service that may affect anyone placing an order with us - PLEASE READ!

As you may be aware, our usual cutoff point for placing orders for next-day delivery is 4pm. However, this Friday the Olympic torch will be passing by our warehouse in the afternoon, which will mean road closures and severe traffic delays. For this reason, our couriers will not be able to perform parcel collections at their usual times.

Therefore, for this day only, if you are wanting to make use of our standard next-working day delivery service (or special Saturday delivery service), your order will need to be placed and processed BEFORE 1.30pm.

Because of this, we advise anyone requiring one of the above services to place their orders as early in the day as possible to avoid disappointment. Any orders placed and processed after 1.30pm on Friday 13th July 2012 will be despatched on Monday 16th July on the specified delivery service.

For example, if you place an order at 2.30pm on Friday 13th July 2012 and request our standard UK mainland next working-day delivery service (free for all orders over £149), your order will be despatched from our warehouse on Monday 16th July 2012 to be with you on Tuesday 17th July 2012.

Please also note that if you are planning on driving to our warehouse to pick an item up, the cutoff point for this service will be 2.30pm. Again, this is due to road closures caused by the Olympic torch parade.

Normal service will be resumed again on Monday 16th July 2012.

Our main store located on Nuffield Industrial Estate will remain unaffected by this event and will be open normal hours.

If you have any questions, please feel free to give us a call on 01202 597180.
