Deciding which microphone is best for you can often be a pain, especially if you cannot get to our store easily to demo the ones that you're considering. In fact, even if you do live locally, you might still prefer to demo microphones in the comfort of your own studio! Thankfully Røde have come up with an ingenious solution to this problem with their online Soundbooth application. This handy little tool allows you to listen to recordings made with the microphone that you are considering in different situations (e.g. for vocals, spoken word, acoustic guitar, etc.) and therefore make comparisons and decide which is the best one for your needs.
You will find the Røde Soundbooth application embedded on the product page of a selection of Røde microphones, so you can demo them from exactly the same page that you add them to your basket! The video below demonstrates the Soundbooth concept:
