ABSOLUTE MUSIC SUPERSTORE: PROGRESS REPORT #7

It's that time again and our brand new Bournemouth/Poole-based pro-music superstore is now extremely close to completion! In fact, we can now reveal that it will be opening its doors on 18th August 2012 - that's only just over 2 weeks away! Exciting!
Sure, there's still a bit to be done, but once the floors have been put down, a few other odds and ends have been sorted and the place has been tidied up, we'll have what resembles a rather swanky looking empty shop. All that will be left then is to fill it with top of the range audio gear and of course, you guys!
Anyway, even though we are almost there, we thought that we'd bring you another progress report just so that you can see for yourself how close we are...

So, the picture above is pretty much what you will see when you walk into the shop. The acoustic and synth rooms now have windows and their walls are pretty much completed. Looking up onto the first floor you can make out part of our huge guitar display wall and if we were to turn around, you would find the entrance to our studios and rehearsal rooms, which are also now undergoing refurbishment.

The photograph above shows the main ground floor room from the opposite side. In this picture the acoustic and synth rooms are to the left of the forklift truck, and looking upstairs we can see yet more of our huge guitar display wall! Towards the left of the photo we can also see the entrance to the corridor that leads to our professionally designed and acoustically treated monitor and mic demo room, and to the drum department.

Looking into our acoustic room, you can see that all it's now lacking is a few roof tiles, a bit of a hoover/dust and some instruments to cover the walls! Just out of shot of this picture is a huge humidity control unit that will ensure that all our display acoustics are kept in pristene condition - you can see it in the photograph below!

Our synth room is also well on its way to being completed! Very soon the walls will be covered in a range of interesting instruments for you to all demo!

And here is a sneak peek into our monitor demo room, which has been designed by professional acoustician Andy Munro (who also designed the amazing sE Munro Egg monitors). Although it currently looks like a bumblebee (or Tony the Tiger as our Sales Director, Andy Legg insists!), the different coloured panels actually help to deal with different acoustic problems. If you're after a pair of monitors and you want to hear them in a professional environment, then this room is the place to be!

Ok, so now we're in the drum department and looking towards the two drum booths where you'll be able to hit things without seriously disturbing those around you! Again, we're almost finished here - just imagine it with a proper floor and full of kits - we know that our drum manager, Austin, is getting very excited!

Now we're on the first floor looking down! The doors that you can see on this floor are for our guitar demo rooms, where you'll be able to take instruments and equipment and have a jam, and the entrance to our DJ/live room.

The picture above is again taken from the first floor, looking back towards the lift and stairs. If we were to turn ninety degrees to our left, we'd be facing our large DJ/Live room...

And here's the DJ/Live room, where the floor is just beginning to go down! Once completed, this room will be filled with pumping PA systems and the latest DJ gear for you to try out for yourselves!
