CUBASE 7 HAS LANDED - BUY OR UPGRADE NOW!

The much-hyped new incarnation of Steinberg's legendary DAW has landed, in the shape of CUBASE 7 and CUBASE ARTIST 7. Whether you already own a previous version or you're new to the Cubase club, we've listed below all the various upgrade, cross-grade, education and full version options so you can find your ideal route to the new software. We've also put together some brilliantly priced bundles including Cubase 7 and CMC controllers, but first, what's so super about 7?

The first exciting development is the inclusion, in both Cubase 7 and Cubase Artist 7, of the new MixConsole virtual mixer with built-in channel strip modules, drag n drop channel settings, A/B comparison functions, effects bypass and loads of editable features. Also new is the Chord Track that detects chord and harmony information to any MIDI or audio tracks processed with VariAudio. Added to this (in Cubase 7 only) is Chord Assistant that allows you to automatically generate chord progressions. We like! There are plenty more tweaks here and there, plus a heap of new sounds and samples for Groove Agent One, HALion Sonic SE and the Beat Designer library.

The even better news is that you may be able to upgrade to the new versions of Cubase 7 and Cubase Artist 7 for nothing!! That's right, upgrading from V6 or V6.5 is free if you activated your software after 25th October 2012, but even if you didn't, fear not as there are other upgrade paths available from just £119!
