ROLAND A-49 & A-88 MIDI KEYBOARDS

Posted on Mon 03 September 2012 in Computer Music

Roland A-49Roland announce two brand new slim, lightweight MIDI controllers, the A-49 and A-88. As the names suggest, the A-49 features 49 pro-quality keyboard action keys, whereas the A-88 is larger, featuring 88 of Roland's Ivory Feel-G keys.

Both the A-49 and A-88 come with a 'SuperNatural' button, which automatically assigns their controls to control a SuperNatural sound module. This makes them ideal for use as a second-tier keyboard with products such as Roland's Jupiter-50 and Jupiter-80. Both also have a D-Beam controller, meaning that you can control a sound parameter of your choice simply by moving your hand up and down - an excellent live performance or creative studio tool!

You can even use them with compatible iPad apps by connecting them via an Apple Camera Connection Kit.

The Roland A-49 will be available in either a black or white finish and the A-88 will feature a number of additional features such as a split mode.
