NOVATION LAUNCHPAD APP NOW AVAILABLE

Great news for all those with an iPad - you can now get a variation of the hugely popular Novation Launchpad in a FREE iPad app form! The app comes with loads of loops and samples so you can get creating music right away, and it's really simple to use, so even if you've not got a background in music composition, you'll find this app great fun! Just like the hardware Launchpad (which works with Ableton Live software as opposed to featuring its own built-in loops), the Launchpad app features a multi-coloured pad grid, allowing you trigger sounds and effects. The app also features built-in time-stretching, ensuring that your loops always stay in time.

The Launchpad app strips out many of the more complicated features of the hardware Launchpad, making it much quicker to get to grips with. The touchscreen of the iPad makes many functions even easier to implement, as it provides 8 volume sliders for making smooth changes to your track levels. The Launchpad app also comes with a selection of FX modes, providing an easy way to remix your tracks live!

To expand the functionality of the Launchpad app, you can combine it with one of Novation's new Launchkey controllers! These compact controller keyboards each feature 16 Launchpad-style pads plus a selection of assignable dials, buttons and faders, as well as other controls for getting hands-on with your performance when using the app. Of course, when you're not using the app, the Launchkey can also be connected to your computer and used to control your software instruments and effects and get more hands-on with your mixes.
