MASCHINE 2.0 - NEW AUDIO ENGINE

Maschine 2.0's new audio engine adds multi-core support, which means that your computer will work more efficiently with the software. On top of this, Maschine 2.0 brings more audio routing capabilities, including support for side-chaining, which is something that many people will be relieved to hear. The new software also now allows for the creation of unlimited groups, which should make working with large projects a lot more intuitive.

MASCHINE 2.0 - INTERFACE

The GUI has been redesigned for Maschine 2.0 in order to speed up your workflow. Browsing is now quicker and the arrangement view makes it easier to work with clips.

MASCHINE 2.0 - DRUM SYNTHS

Maschine 2.0 provides you with a set of drum synths, which allows you to refine your percussive sounds in more detail compared to working with samples. The Kick, Snare, Hi-Hat, Tom and Percussion plug-ins are equally as adept at creating acoustic hits as they are at creating classic electronic sounds, each providing controls for tweaking your sound to perfection.

MASCHINE 2.0 - MIXER

One of the major updates to Maschine 2.0 is the new professional audio mixer, which makes it easier to put that finished sheen on your mix. You can change volumes, pan positions, solos and mute status', plus, you can also control your signal routing, with two aux sends per channel and you can control plug-ins and insert effects from the Maschine hardware.

MASCHINE 2.0 - IMPROVED SAMPLER

Maschine 2.0 software brings with it zero-crossing detection and overlapping slices, to make sampling even more intuitive than it already was. The software now also provides 8-point sample interpolation (that's twice as accurate as Maschine 1 software) for super-high sampling quality.

Maschine provides extremely powerful sampling tools, so you can get very complex if your project demands it. The only limit to your sample size is your computer's RAM, you can get up to 64 voice polyphony for each sound and you are provided with choke, legato and glide controls. There are even special MPC 60 and SP1200 modes for a classic sampling experience with the advantage of the software to speed up your workflow.

MASCHINE 2.0 - PLUG-IN STRIP

Maschine 2.0 software features a new plug-in strip, which makes it easier to view and tweak your instruments and effects. Each plug-in in Maschine 2.0 has its own layout and you can load any VST or AU plug-in into Maschine!

MASCHINE 2.0 - BROWSER

Finding sounds with Machine has also got easier with the new 2.0 software. The Maschine 2.0 browser allows you to browse using tags, in order to instantly bring up the types of sounds that you require.

MASCHINE 2.0 - MORE SOUNDS

Maschine's library had been expanded with the 2.0 software, with new kits and samples for a variety of genres.

MASCHINE 2.0 - MORE INSTRUMENTS & EFFECTS

As well as including the awesomely powerful Massive synth, which many professional producers rate as the best bass, lead and effect synth out there, Maschine 2.0 also throws in Reaktor Prism (great at creating percussive textures), Scarbee Mark I (an exquisite electric piano virtual instrument) and Solid Bus Comp (ideal for 'glueing' drum groups or entire mixes together for a professional-sounding mix). There's also a new feedback compressor and plate reverb. Of course, this is all on top of the large collection of plug-in effects that the original Maschine software came with.

MASCHINE 2.0 - BETTER INTEGRATION

Maschine 2.0 now lets you import MIDI files directly, send CC messages to your other gear, control Maschine parameters with your host DAW (without going through Macros) and send MIDI program change messages to VST or Audio Unit plus-ins.

MASCHINE 2.0 - ... AND MORE!

There's plenty more new features that we haven't mentioned in this article as well, such as the new cue channel, which makes the Maschine an even more powerful live performance tool; improved looping; a new scene and pattern manager and step sequencer; a gate function and plenty more!
