FREE VRM BOX WITH SELECTED FOCUSRITE INTERFACES

Posted on Tue 11 February 2014 in Computer Music

The VRM Box is an ingenious piece of studio kit. Using a pair of headphones, the VRM Box allows you to virtually mix your tracks in a variety of environments, using your choice of speakers. For example, you can reference your tracks in a virtual professional studio, through a pair of professional monitors. Or, you can listen to how your track would sound when played back through TV speakers in your living room!

In pursuit of the perfect mix, it is heavily advised to listen to your track on as many different playback systems as possible, in order to make sure that it sounds good on all of them. However, this presents an obvious space and budget problem, as it's impractical and far too expensive for most of us to own such varied set-ups. However, Focusrite have solved this problem, as all you now need is a computer, a pair of headphones and the ultra-compact VRM Box.

Until the end of February 2014, you can grab a FREE VRM Box with Focusrite Saffire Pro 40 and Liquid Saffire 56 interfaces.

Free Focusrite VRM Box

The Focusrite Saffire Pro 40 is a professional Firewire interface (also compatible with Thunderbolt connections) that provides plenty of connectivity for medium to large recording projects. The Saffire Pro 40 provides 8 analogue inputs (each with their own preamp), plus 10 analogue outputs. It also features S/PDIF and MIDI I/O, and using additional ADAT devices (such as the Focusrite Octopre or Octopre Dynamic), you can increase the total I/O count to 20-in and 20-out.

The Focusrite Liquid Saffire 56 is an audio interface that can handle even larger projects. Using its ADAT connections, you can take the total I/O count to a whopping 28-in, 28-out, but that's not all.

The Liquid Saffire 56 features two of Focusrite's renowned Liquid preamps, which model your choice of ten different preamps, including the Neve 1073, Pultec MB-1 and Telefunken V72. This allows you to select the preamp tone that best suits each individual project. It's almost like owning 10 different sought-after preamps!
