Roland announces tweaked version of the popular Blues Cube Hot with added classic British EL84 voicing.

The Blues Cube Hot “British EL84 Modified” is a special edition version of the popular Blues Cube Hot amplifier. In contrast to the American tweed sound of the standard amp, this new version of the Blues Cube Hot amplifier is specially tuned to produce the voice of a traditional British combo with EL84 tubes, also known as the “class A” sound. Offered in a classic black look that will look brilliant on any stage, the 30-watt Blues Cube Hot British EL84 Modified amp delivers legendary Brit combo tone in a compact, gig-ready combo.

Because of the reputable Roland Tube Logic technology on board of the British EL84 Modified players can benefit from the desired warm tone and dynamic response, but without the added headache of constant maintenance and fragility of tube amps. However, just like the classic tube guitar amps, the Blues Cube Hot “British EL84 Modified” cleans up nicely in the lower volumes and then starts to break into increasing levels of crunch as you turn the volume up or press the Boost switch for extra gain. Some tube amp users struggle to get that ‘hot’ and driven sound at home practice volumes, so the British EL84 Modified comes with a very handy Power Control knob, that acts as an attenuator and get the desirable high volume tones at 0.5 W, 5 W, 15 W or full 30 W levels.

Also on board is a reverb control, headphone socket, line out and also a USB port for direct recording to the DAW of your choice. An optional footswitch can control the boost switch or turn on the Tone button on produces a sparkling high range that’s based on adjusting the capacitors of the volume circuit and feedback circuit.
